The term user (‘User’) refers to a person accessing and otherwise using the Site, essentially you. Sweet Spicy Cooking (‘SSC’) refers to the providers of the Site, essentially us.

What kind of personal data is collected?

The User may be asked by SSC to volunteer information to the Site. The User may volunteer information when commenting on something on the Site. SSC may ask the User to volunteer personal data such as name and email for the purposes of creating a user profile or being added to a subscription list. SSC may ask the User to create a username and password, the password will be protected and in our records not visible.

SSC may ask User to provide content in the form of comments or otherwise. SSC may use cookies in relation to Users and User-generated content. For example, SSC may save the User’s name and email address for the convenience of the User. SSC may use cookies to help provide the User’s screen display choices and other Site customization choices. SCC may use cookies to track a User’s IP address for the prevention of spam.

Internet-based Advertising

SSC may affiliate with an internet-based advertiser.SSC may post advertisements on the sites using the User’s personal data to personalize advertising offering. Users can contact SSC to opt out of internet-based advertising.

General Data Protection Regulation (EU and EEA only)

For Users in the European Union and European Economic Area, Users have the right to request access to the User’s personal data, the right to request that SSC delete the User’s personal data, and the right to request no further processing of the User’s personal data. Users can contact SSC to exercise the User’s rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

Google will show all Users in the EEA only non-personalized ads.

Non-personalized ads are targeted using contextual information rather than the past behavior of a user. SSC may engage in re-marketing. It means if a User visits the Site he or she may see a targeted ad on Facebook or a different platform.

Amazon Services LLC Associates  and other Affiliate Programs

SSC may engage in affiliate marketing programs. Affiliate marketing involves tracking of browsing behavior for the purposes of commissions.

SSC only shares User’s personal data to third-parties where the User has authorized such sharing or such sharing is required by law.

Media Access and Publically Visible Information

Any visitor to the Site can access content that the User has posted on the Site. Certain information provided by the User may be publicly visible.

The User must refrain from providing sensitive personal information to the Site or SSC. Such sensitive personal information may include religious beliefs, political opinions, criminal background, social security number, information regarding race or ethnic origin, health information, or trade union memberships.
